Laus Deo in Choro!

Welcome!

Norbertine Sisters of St. Augustine & the Holy Family

Thank you for visiting our website!  We are a Traditional Catholic pious Associaton of women, wishing to live the religious life according to the 900 year old Charism of the Praemonstratensians, founded by St. Norbert of Xanten in 1121AD.

We follow the Rule of St. Augustine and are devoted to two main apostolates: Catholic Liturgical Art in all its forms, and the care of the elderly.  Over and above these two apostolates, however,  is the Work of the Divine Liturgy, which is our principal endeavour.

In the Charism of St. Norbert, we 'praise God in choir' through daily Holy Mass and by chanting the Divine Office six times a day and once at night.  We offer this for the greater glory of God and for the conversion and salvation of souls.

We are under the care of the priestly Society of St. Pius X, and are based in Australia.

We pray for all our friends and benefactors around the world and wish you every grace and blessing from God!

First Professions set for 2021AD

Exactly 900 years after St. Norbert and his companions pronounced their vows on Christmas Eve, 1121AD, our Community will have the joy of witnessing four Sisters pronounce their vows during Midnight Mass.

Though our Profession Ceremonies are private affairs, and no visitors are allowed on the actual day, you are cordially invited to join us for the Solemn High Mass, via the live stream over the internet.   Family and friends are advised to contact the convent office for information regarding nearby accommodation and visiting times available on St. Stephen's Day.

Christmas Joy

The Sisters were blessed with a very joyous and Merry Christmas Season!

Who is Saint Norbert?

You probably have heard his name, but do you know who he is?
